: Do you see yourself reporting from London Fashion Week or live from Westminster? Do you have a passion for storytelling? Could you be the one to uncover the latest breaking headline?You learn practical and professional skills, growing your confidence to produce journalistic content suitable for TV, radio, magazines, print and social media. You develop your editorial judgement and presentation skills by assembling bulletins, feature and news packages for our unique platform TUXtra. This course has been developed in collaboration with industry, ensuring you graduate ready to compete for your dream job, or continue onto postgraduate study.You learn how to shoot and edit video and audio, produce news packages to deadlines, research and interview, create campaigns, project manage and engage with audiences on social media. Develop your practice in a safe and supportive environment, working mainly in our bespoke multimedia newsroom, TV and radio studios.You can undertake a short-term on campus placement with Teesside Online – part of Reach PLC, one of the largest media companies in the UK. This helps you develop employment prospects with real-world experience that helps you cultivate new skills and a deeper understanding of the industry and its working practices. We celebrate your successes big and small throughout your course, our annual Journalism Awards are supported by local and national media professionals, offering you the chance to network with crucial industry connections.
