Course Overview
Before you arrive you will be matched to one or more of our expert supervisors and during the course you will meet with them frequently for guidance on the conceptualization research and writing of your Dissertation. This will include reading and discussion of draft material. You will also be expected to participate in the research culture of the School for example by attending research seminars. Please provide a short overview of this research programme.
Research Themes
Medieval and Renaissance Intellectual Culture — the reception of texts and ideas and their relationship with institutions of learning and habits of reading including manuscript and print culture; 18th- and 19th-Century Literary Cultures in comparative perspective; Literary cinematic and cultural studies in 20th and 21st Century; Transnational engagements with Italy in post-Unification culture — migration mobility and the postcolonial.
Entry requirements 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and preferably a Masters in a related subject.
