Our unique World Philosophies degree offers you the chance to engage with a diverse range of philosophical traditions from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. This course will expand your knowledge and develop your critical understanding of philosophy in the context of a wider range of societies and historical eras than a traditional philosophy degree. You will investigate the origin, nature, methods, and limits of human knowledge traditions of argumentation as well as political and ethical systems of thought from a truly global perspective.This degree also offers you a global and comparative approach to the study of world affairs. A study of world history and global power relations allows students to understand the sources of conflict and cooperation among state shifts in the international economy as well as the roles of culture, identity and ideas in world politics.
