This geopolitics degree features distinctive contributions from critical international politics and human geography. This course focuses on the key theories, approaches and thinkers in the study of geopolitics. It gives you insight into the political dynamics, consequences and discourses of contemporary geopolitics. You'll learn how to think critically about these important political currents. You'll receive rigorous training in critical geopolitics and research training in theories and approaches in the study of politics. This training gives this course a strong basis for a career with significant international dimensions. You could also pursue a postgraduate research degree in critical geopolitical studies.
A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in international studies/politics or a related discipline. We will also consider your application on an individual basis if you have lower or non-standard qualifications and relevant professional experience.
