What you will studyDrawing on our extensive experience of teaching, researching and working in hospitality management, this course combines the study of core business and management topics with industry-based practical experience.The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management runs several on-campus establishments, including the School’s Lakeside restaurant, private dining room and coffee shop. You’ll also have the opportunity to host events. These will give you hands-on opportunities to learn how to plan, organise, evaluate and manage successful hospitality businesses and events.This combination of academic theory, up-to-date industry knowledge and practical experience will kick-start your hospitality management career, allowing you to leave us as a professional ready to make an immediate impact in the field.We’re always looking to make it easier to access the education we offer, so we have launched the option of taking a degree with a foundation year.A foundation year is an extra year of study at the start of your course that leads in to a full degree programme.
