The International Foundation Year at Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre helps you to progress to your chosen undergraduate degree at Leeds Beckett University. You will spend two semesters in the supportive environment of the International Study Centre, working with expert tutors in order to confidently enter the first year of your undergraduate degree at the University.
You will be taught English language, study and academic skills so that you can succeed in your undergraduate degree, as well as your future career once you graduate.
You will study a combination of core and subject-specific modules that focus on helping you learn the skills most relevant to the degree you want to study.
Your work will be assessed regularly through coursework assignments, presentations, essays and case studies.
You are expected to attend 100% of your classes at the International Study Centre or you are at risk of losing your Student visa.
Enhanced Induction:
The Enhanced Induction gives you extra support and the opportunity to learn more about life in the UK and develop your English Language skills. You will also receive expert guidance on academic practice from the International Study Centre all offered to you at no additional cost.
The Enhanced Induction is focused on three areas that will help you succeed in your academic programme: language, life and learning skills.
