You will be taught English language, study and academic skills so that you can succeed in your undergraduate degree, as well as your future career once you graduate.
You will study a combination of core and subject-specific modules that focus on helping you learn the skills most relevant to the degree you want to study.Once you complete the programme, and achieve the required grades, you can choose from a range of degree options, in areas such as accounting, business, finance, tourism and sport management.
Academic English Skills aims to provide thorough training in the language and related academic skills which will enable international students to best achieve their academic potential at university. Our Academic English programme is validated by UK ENIC, the UK government agency responsible for providing information and expert opinion on qualifications and skills worldwide.
This module will develop your understanding of key management business and finance issues and methodologies used in business practice to aid and inform decision making and performance management. The module will be problem orientated, taking realistic business settings and showing how techniques of financial and data analysis can be used to offer alternative solutions and predict financial consequences.
This module will introduce you to the global nature of business and to the various political, economic, and cultural issues associated with international business. It will also support you in developing your teamwork, research and communication skills, and give you an introduction to the local economy, by employing a practical, case-based assessment strategy.
This module introduces you to the law and legal system in England and Wales, including its underlying principles, the personnel who administer it, the mechanics of the legal process, and justice in broader perspectives. It also introduces you to the core principles in Criminal Law, Tort Law, and Contract Law.
The module provides you with an opportunity to identify and research a topic aligned to your progression degree. It will equip you with fundamental scholarly, research and transferable skills, necessary for progression onto an undergraduate course.
This module introduces you to three interlinked social sciences: politics, criminology, and sociology. Concepts and case studies are introduced and understood through three inter-related lenses to provide you with a wide-ranging understanding of international issues.
