The International First Year (IFY) provides an intensive combination of first-year university subjects with extra study and language skills. The IFY is the first year of the three-year International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) degree.

Upon successful completion of the IFY, you will continue to the second year of study at DMU.

Business and Management

Combining academic study with a real-world insight of business and management, this course equips you with the skills to succeed in a number of business and management roles.

The IFY in Business and Management will give the knowledge and ability to continue into the second year of your degree in the Leicester Business School at DMU.

On this course you will:

Develop a broad understanding of business principles, marketing, strategy and management

Learn the critical perspective necessary for successful academic study.

Gain experience in a range of skills designed to boost your career prospects such as leadership, presentation, team work, decision making and research.

You can put what you learn into practice on your degree course at DMU. Business students are given the option of a placement year which includes the chance to work with internationally-renowned companies such as IBM, Disney and the MOD.
