This postgraduate course is ideal for existing managers and those with an appropriate undergraduate education who wish to aspire to a career in the dynamic and increasingly recognised area of international festivals and tourism management. Modern day tourism trends and analysis illustrate the competitive environment within which changing tourist attraction provision and expansion can be successfully delivered.
Learning Environment and Assessment
Students will find the teaching and learning environment worthwhile and challenging. The learning environment is organised to ensure that key concepts, theories, and where appropriate, practices relevant to management in the hospitality and tourism industry form a central role in teaching and learning.
Assessment includes reports, essays, presentations and seminar papers and for those completing the Master of Science Programme, a Dissertation or a Management Consultancy Project. Students who complete the taught element of the programme, in part or in its entirety, may graduate with either a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in International Festivals and Tourism Management.
