Our International Economics MSc looks at economic interactions between countries, focused on international trade and finance. It also provides a solid basis in the use of analytic and quantitative methods in examining economic issues.

You will learn from experts in their field and our teaching is informed by the research of the

  • Nottingham Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy
  • . The centre studies the causes and consequences of globalisation and its researchers have advised the Treasury, the World Bank and the World Trade Organization.

    You will take specialist core modules and choose from a range of options that will strengthen your skills for examining international economic issues. You will also receive one-to-one guidance to enable you to complete your research project.

    With an advanced economics degree from the University of Nottingham, you will graduate with all the knowledge, practical skills and confidence you need to stand out to employers and progress as a professional economist or academic researcher.

    International students who complete an eligible degree programme in the UK on a student visa can apply to stay and work in the UK after their course under the Graduate immigration route. Eligible courses at the University of Nottingham include bachelors, masters and research degrees, and PGCE courses.
