On this course you’ll study some of the most important challenges facing our changing world – poverty, inequality, climate change, conflict and migration. By focusing on policy and practice, you will explore these challenges at local, national and international levels. You’ll analyse them using a multi-disciplinary approach that includes sociology and anthropology, politics and social research.Year 1 will develop your knowledge of economic principles and applications. You'll analyse international development and build your skills in qualitative or quantitative research. You’ll also learn how to evaluate data and information to develop your own arguments for different audiences.In Year 2, you'll deepen your knowledge of development economics. You'll develop your understanding of the economic, social and political dimensions of diverse global and local challenges.
