French

Spoken in large parts of Europe, Africa and the Americas, French is a working language of many international organisations. It makes an excellent partner subject to International Business. At Edinburgh, you will study the French language in the context of the diverse countries, cultures and societies in which it is spoken.In Years 1 and 2, you will gain written and spoken language skills in French, including how to translate. You will use your language abroad in Year 3.You will explore aspects of Francophone culture, including literature and cinema, political history, social movements and philosophical ideas.


International business

You will specialise in international business in Year 2 and you will have a compulsory study year abroad in Year 3 at one of our international partner institutions in a French-speaking country.

This programme is particularly suitable if you are looking for a breadth of international business understanding. The programme is appropriate for those aspiring to undertake a career in international management, and those seeking further educational opportunities.
