The International Business MRes is a pre-doctoral training programme designed to provide a critical, research-led approach to the study of business and globalisation. The programme will provide advanced training in the skills needed for research careers and doctoral-level study.
This programme requires students to have quantitative skills and some prior knowledge of economics.

The programme aims to:
Introduce you to the economic dimensions of international business, including international trade, finance and development, and their implications for policy makers, business firms, managers and households.
Explain the economic interactions between sovereign states, as well as how and why national economies differ.
Introduce you to the policies of international macroeconomics, finance, trade and investment.
You'll also have the opportunity to acquire methodologies and techniques for undertaking, analysing and writing up academic research, and carrying out applied or practitioner research in the areas of business and management.
Students need to have a 1st class or above at undergraduate level in any subject. A satisfactory research proposal that fits with research interests of staff in the School of Business and Management is also required.
