We live and work in a world of rapid technological and societal change. To work in an international business environment you need to understand the economic, political and social contexts of organisations. The BSc International Business Management will help you to do this and help you develop the analytical, critical and employability skills you will need to succeed as a manager and as a leader.Your first year will introduce you to basic concepts and tools - both qualitative and quantitative - for the study of management. You will also explore the global business environment and learn about marketing and finance. For your final unit, you can choose to study management analysis and communication skills or a modern language.During your second year, you will study International Business topics in more depth, and you will have the opportunity to select from a range of optional units. We will also help you to deepen your understanding of research design, data collection and data analysis; including analysis of survey data, interviews and observation in organisations. This will prepare you for the final year, where you will be able to choose from a wide range of optional units, enabling you to tailor your studies to your developing interests, and where you will undertake your dissertation: a piece of supervised individual research on a topic of your choosing. The knowledge, insight and understanding that you will gain on this course will equip you for careers across all sectors of the global jobs market.
