International businesses and multinational firms need to balance financial returns with social and environmental responsibility. On this course, you’ll study the link between the economic behaviours and policies of international business, and their impact on sustainability and development. By studying at Sussex, you will: explore the principles of international business and strategic management through the lens of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) examine the impact that institutional environments in home countries have on strategy, and how those strategies impact on – and interact with – host countries take part in a consultancy project where you’ll design and deliver a solution to a real-world business challenge benefit from our interdisciplinary teaching and research culture draw on leading expertise from the University of Sussex Business School, including SPRU – Science Policy Research Unit, as well as the School of Global Studies. As a member of the UN Global Compact network. the Business School is committed to creating a sustainable and inclusive global economy. We also follow the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), which means we incorporate global social responsibility and sustainability values into our teaching and research. When you graduate, you’ll have the practical skills needed to address global challenges, and feel prepared for a career as a confident, knowledgeable and responsible manager. This course is for you if you are: working in an international business, development agency or NGO and aiming to move into a leadership role a graduate in business or environmental studies seeking the skills to move into management or policy.
Degree requirements - You should have a lower second-class (2.2) undergraduate honours degree or above. Subject-specific requirements - Your qualification can be in any subject. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
