MA Interiors (Architecture & Design) encourages creative investigation, experimentation and innovation in order to extend your knowledge and skills in the creation of new environments. The potential and limits of the ‘interior’ is explored across a range of contemporary contexts, through field research and interpretation, studio and online workshops, media practices, critical analysis and design. On the course you will develop your individual practice and approach to the design of interior spaces and places, and will be encouraged to explore the notion of interiority from the intimate scale of objects and furniture to the urban context of the city, investigating its specific essence and how its quality and atmosphere affects human perception and emotion.1 year full-time
Students need to have a good honours degree 2:2 or above, or equivalent qualification, in Interior Architecture, Architecture, Interior Design or Design, although other subjects may be valid. We also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications. Those without formal qualifications need to demonstrate three years' relevant work experience and the ability to study at postgraduate level. We also normally require Grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification.
