|You must have a 1st degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent and have completed a face-to-face level 3 qualification in counselling skills or equivalent, have relevant experience of using these skills in a workplace or voluntary setting, and have demonstrated at interview your suitability for undertaking professional training. Those with a 1st degree, but without a level 3 qualification, may apply for the Newman Introductory Certificate in Counselling and then, on successful completion, apply for the MSc Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy Studies. Newman’s Record of Prior Learning (RPcL/RPel) policy can be applied to any applicants who consider they have qualifications or experience that may warrant them being granted exemption from elements of a particular course. Applicants will be invited to a selection day where their abilities with be tests through a groups task and individual interview. Applicants will need to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance prior to starting the course.|
