This programme provides you with an understanding of contemporary information and records management issues. It pays special attention to the management of digital records and electronic resources, and how to manage these alongside analogue resources. The programme is designed to put students in the strongest possible position to seek a role in Archives, Records & Information Management, Digital Curation and related fields, upon graduation. Throughout the programme we aim to provide further experience in these contexts, either through traditional placements for coursework or your dissertation, or through virtual placements working with archives and similar organisations. As a graduate, you will be well placed for a career as an archivist, records and information manager, librarian, or digital curator within a variety of public and private organisations. Positions held by recent graduates include Archivist, Assistant Archivist, Project Archivist, Records Manager, Compliance Manager, Librarian, Information Manager, Digital Archivist.
2.1 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) in any subject.
You should have a minimum of two weeks work experience in an archives, records management, or digital curation environment. .
Your application should include a short personal statement (500 words) outlining your interest in the programme and relevant experience
