The University of Glasgow is one of four ancient universities in Scotland, founded back in 1451. The university is part of the prestigious Russell Group, and is one of only two universities in the UK to be awarded a 5 Stars Plus by the QS University Rankings 2017. Alumni include seven Nobel Prize winners, Scotland’s First Minister and a Prime Minister, while Albert Einstein gave a lecture on the theory of relativity there back in 1933. The university has over 7,000 postgraduate students from 140 countries around the world, taking up taught and research degrees. Study options vary from Financial Economics to European Studies. The university consists of four colleges: College of Arts College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences College of Science and Engineering College of Social Sciences There are three campuses making up the university.
