Our Immunology MSc will enable you to gain an understanding of the structure and functioning of the immune system at the cell, molecular and genetic level, and how it relates to health and disease. We will give you the vital skills needed to pursue doctoral-level research or to enhance your career prospects in other areas of healthcare and related industries. This course has many distinctive features, such as our emphasis on group study and problem- directed learning. There is also a strong focus on developing the core skills you will need for further career progression, such as the ability to understand and interpret research data, presentational skills and experimental design skills. This course is ideal if you are a scientist from either a clinical or non-clinical background, and you want to improve your employment prospects by extending your expertise in the field of modern immunology, or if you want to acquire relevant research training for a PhD.
A minimum 2:1 undergraduate Bachelors (honours) degree. If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip).
