Build your specialist skills in human tissue repair after injury on our globally recognised MSc. You will be taught by UCL's leading scientists and clinicians, study an integrated mix of topics on inflammation, immunotherapy, and tissue engineering and transplantation sciences, and be well prepared for a PhD or a career in biomedicine. Human tissue repair after injury and in disease, and the development of effective treatments, are the focus of all biomedical research. This programme is one of the only MScs in the UK to take an integrated multidisciplinary approach to learning about human tissue repair, regeneration and therapy.You will learn about the fundamentals of inflammation and immune response in human health and disease, while also studying cellular and molecular mechanisms of human tissue repair, and the therapies designed to repair and restore tissue function. Treatments covered include immunotherapy, transplantation, tissue constructs and medical devices. You will also obtain additional practical, analytic, and transferable skills essential for conducting your own biomedical research.
A medical degree or a minimum of an upper second-class UK bachelor's degree in an appropriate subject (biological science, biomedicine, biophysics, chemistry, medicine), or an overseas qualification or an equivalent standard.
