Introduction

Human resource management is a people-centred role, requiring the perfect balance of interpersonal skills, strategic approach and business mind-set. You understand that, and you want a course that knows the unique skills demanded within the industry while transmitting them effectively. We have that course for you. We know what it takes to progress your career – a recognised, accredited and relevant qualification. Our course strengthens your existing experience and provides new knowledge to develop your specialism. The modules encompass HR management from many perspectives: personal development, business approach, organisations health, resourcing and talent management and employees relations. This mixture of grounding theory, future-focus, international perspective and strategic approach aims to open up a world of opportunities for you.

We have been effectively delivering CIPD qualifications for over 25 years, aligning our course with industry trends. We understand the stage you are at in your career, you want to go further and our job is to inspire and support you to work towards your future goals and aspirations. The cost of your membership and course accreditation with the CIPD is not included in the course fees. Whilst the degree is accredited, those seeking this credit for their degree should apply directly to join the CIPD and pay the appropriate joining and membership fee. By keeping our class sizes small, we're assisting you to achieve these. Large, lecture theatre-based learning would be at odds with the dynamic and intuitive nature of the course content, so we ensure peer-to-peer and lecturer content and support. You're inquisitive and open so our team-based learning promotes these skills and your supportive, networking relationships, helping you to learn in a natural way that resembles real working environments. Working in a team and providing feedback as part of a reflective discussion is especially effective for people like you, because the importance this approach places on intrinsic skills, communication, behavioural analysis, persuasion and negotiation abilities are all abilities possessed by outstanding HR managers.

How you'll be assessed

We’ll assess your progress through written work, group and individual presentations. Of your final two modules, the first is a written proposal which is assessed for a Postgraduate Major Project that will give you the opportunity to demonstrate, through a written assessment, your ability to conduct research and apply human resource practices to a specific issue.

Careers

Your qualification will be recognised by CIPD, the UK's most credible specialist human resources training and awarding body. Our course has a strong focus on the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in human resource management. It’s ideal if you’re preparing for, or aspiring to, roles such as HR director, manager, officer, or training officer. You will gain Intermediate awards: PG Cert, PG Dip.
