You will gain a good understanding of the theories and practical skills you need to build a career in HR. You will learn how to recruit, train and develop staff and how to manage the processes of employee dismissals and exits in a fair way. We do this through a good understanding of people and their motivations and by using the best evidence to ensure we make the correct decisions about how people work together for business success. We focus on doing things right and doing the right thing, with an emphasis on sustainability, our global world, and ways of achieving a more representative workforce.Cutting-edge topics such as sustainability and ethics, along with wellbeing and equality, diversity, and inclusion, will enable you to develop a career in human resources where you can really make an impact. This course provides a solid foundation for your career, preparing you for roles in recruitment, training and development, personnel and human resource management, employee relations, talent management, reward, equality, diversity & inclusion, plus many other sectors.You'll be able to apply to join the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development as a student member, which will give you access to online resources.
