Our three-year BA Geography degree is suitable for students who know that their main interest lies in the field of human geography. You will cover a contemporary range of themes including processes shaping the global economy, mobility and migration, creative geographies and political geography. You will also have the chance to explore how landscapes are shaped and discover how populations move and interact. Human Geography at Swansea University attracts students from around the world. Our department is based on our stunning Singleton Park campus overlooking Swansea Bay. A flexibly structured degree path which can be customised with a mixture of human and physical geography modules. Students will have the opportunity to study abroad for a year or work in industry for a year, either locally, nationally or overseas. At Swansea we place a strong emphasis on fieldwork. Our field-courses take students to areas of outstanding natural beauty such as the Gower Peninsula, and to locations across the world such as Borneo, The Indian Himalayas and Mallorca. You can study part of this degree in the medium of Welsh. Our graduates have become Catchment Scientists, Ecologists, Geographical Data Processors, Surveyors, Housing Officers, Meteorologists, Journalists, Government Advisors and Lecturers.
