Our HND Photography Part-Time course is a stimulating course that will enable you to meet the needs of the contemporary creative industries. It will allow you to develop as a professional self-reflecting individual, and will equip you with the skills to adapt to the rapidly evolving world of photography.Emphasis throughout the year will be on refining your research skills, analytical thinking and conceptual development, whilst exploring contemporary photographic practices. You will be working with medium and large format cameras using advanced lighting techniques in our well-equipped photographic studio to develop your ideas and photographic style. You will have the opportunity to explore analogue photography and darkroom printing, as we believe that they form the foundation for understanding photographic principles. As digital post-production is an essential skill for any practicing photographer, you will be entirely supported and greatly encouraged to enhance your pre-existing skills.At the end of your studies you will have the opportunity to exhibit a body of your photographic work and to promote your self in your chosen pathway. Throughout your journey you will be urged to work independently, while our experienced photographic team will continuously support you.The Higher National Diploma (HND) at level 5 is equivalent to the second year of a degree course. It is a continuation of the Higher National Certificate (HNC) course.
