I love where it is in the valley surrounded by nature. However the student union bar does lack of often very quiet and is not open all the time.

Pretty much all the lecturers doors are always open and so when you need to ask something they can always help and are always willing to help.

Studying at University Hill is a fantastic experience, not just because of the excellent study spaces but also because of its beautiful hillside location. The natural beauty of the hill creates a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere, making it an inspiring place to learn. Another great advantage is the convenience of the local market, as well as the excellent transport links, with a nearby train station and frequent bus services making travel easy. As an engineering student, I particularly appreciate the well-equipped labs that enhance our learning experience. The university provides access to advanced facilities, including turbines, wind tunnels, and aircraft simulation systems, which allow us to apply our knowledge in a practical setting. These state-of-the-art resources help us develop essential skills and prepare for real-world challenges in our field. On campus, the Students’ Union has a well-stocked shop, making it easy to grab essentials, snacks, and study supplies. The canteen offers a wide variety of fresh and delicious food, catering to different tastes and dietary needs. There are also great opportunities for shopping nearby, a well-equipped gym, and plenty of places to relax after a long day of studying. However, a few improvements, like more comfortable seating, extra power outlets, and faster Wi-Fi, would make studying here even better. Overall, the combination of a great study environment, cutting-edge engineering facilities, stunning natural surroundings, and excellent campus amenities makes this a fantastic place to learn and enjoy student life.

As I am only here 1 day a week I don’t get to experience it much but it is a nice uni to come to and the food in the canteen is great

The learning facilities are very good. When looking at Universities, I attended an open day at Cambridge, and all the equipment looked very old, whereas all the equipment at USW is quite new. The campus itself also feels quite new, despite not being. Sadly, the student support isn't great. I have had to email the head of engineering with issues quite often, which I wasn't expecting to have to do, and very rarely do I feel that they are trying to resolve the issue. I have only visited the students union once or twice as it is quite small and there is not a lot there, a small pub and a small shop, I suppose its's better than nothing though.
