This course will provide you with an opportunity to explore a number of creative disciplines. The course is strongly weighted towards practical workshops and assignments that encourage learners to develop and hone their procedural and management skills.
This will include units in areas of Hospitality, with a portion of the program being aimed at professional development and employability, enabling you to gain a wide range of skills needed to enter employment in a junior managerial role.
Students will have access to real working environments on campus, to include the Bistro, Spires Restaurant, Coffee Bar and Coffee Shop.
The teaching staff on this programme are industry trained and maintain strong links with the external workforce. Students will partake in internal and external visits to encourage networking and forging links for their futures. An important aspect of this diploma is its applied nature. All students are encouraged to seek relevant employment or placement during their studies, which is one of the core units.
The Future
Catering is an industry with great employer prospects. Students can use this qualification to progress independently towards a full degree or enter employment. Upon graduating, students may find employment in: Hotels; Restaurants; Tourism; Events Planning or Teaching.
