History with Politics is a very popular combination, pairing two highly interrelated subjects. Your History modules, which will make up two-thirds of your total course of study, all have significant political elements, from the transformation of the English monarchy under Tudor and Stuart kings and queens to the often painful birth of democracy in the age of Atlantic revolutions, to the rise and fall of totalitarianism in the twentieth century.Similarly, Politics modules often have a heavily historical element, presenting contemporary American or Cuban politics with reference to those nations’ pasts. By taking History with Politics, you will finish your course with a richer understanding of both the world in which you live and the past societies that shaped it.
