Lancaster University

Best aspect is the community feel. Some professional services staff couldn’t do more to make you feel comfortable, confident and capable. Worst aspect is the current restructuring and removal of department spaces separating students from staff.

The campus and university seems welcoming and supportive, there is lots of wellbeing support and great facilities such as the library and sports centre. There are many societies with lots of events. I do think that their should be more sober events for students who don’t like drinking and a little more options for academic support.

The academics, the campus, and the university as a place are all incredible. In this facilitate learning both remotely and at location, where the usefulness of the facilitates and helpful of the staff make such learning easier. I prefer having the campus separate from the city, it allows me to think about it more as it's own space, and with the large amount of busses, getting to and from the city isn't a big issue. The support this Uni offers is incredible and I can only say kind and supportive things about the staff who make such an environment and reality possible.

I LOVE University, I had a difficult time in first year with a bullying situation and University and the SU supported me so well. My course is amazing, I love it so much and am learning so much and developing so much and am developing career prospects and accessing so many opportunities, I was able to complete a summer fulbright scholarship and was supported by uni, they are amazing.

SU is in a constant battle against the uni VC and council, cuts are everywhere and the university is ran like a business, not an education hub.
