University of Sheffield

Sheffield is a great place to study with a city campus with easy access to different cafes, bars, restruants and shops. The campus itself is very comfartable and easy to access especially via public transport, being on the tramline. the student life is also especially admirable with themed club nights on at the foundry, corp and west street live. my favourite thing about the Uni is the wide variety of societys to join.

I have always felt a great sense of belonging and being part of a student community. The nightlife has always been excellent, especially in my first year. The facilities are good and there is so much student support. There is always so much going on every week.

The University of Sheffield is a great place to study as it has a very welcoming environment, the Students' Union and the University have numerous support services. The university departments, particularly history, are always keen to hear from the students on their experiences and studies to ensure they are forever improving, making it an excellent place to study where you feel listened to and your ideas and concerns can have a great positive impact on your learning. There really is something for everyone at the university with a range of clubs, societies and activities. You are encouraged to get involved, including outside of your comfort zone, and to be who you are. It's great location being a city with many eating places, activities, great transportation links and situated at the edge of the Peak District provides opportunities for breaks from study and to create memories with friends. Room for improvement I would suggest is having more sober socials across the university. Whilst there are some, this is generally limited. I think improvement in this area will allow for more time for students who don't necessarily want to/like drinking able to connect and still have a great time and experiences at university. It would also add to the already wide range of opportunities for those who do like drinking but want to do something different. This is however not to say that there isn't already plenty of opportunities to get involved even if you don't like drinking with clubs and societies but more socials which are specifically and purposefully sober would be great!! Also, introducing university parking for commuter students would be greatly appreciated! The University of Sheffield really, truly is a great place to study and I would highly recommend it if you want to feel supported, get a great degree from a prestigious university and make many wonderful memories along the way!!

Sheffield is a great city, with immediate access to the peak district - endcliffe and ranmoor accomodation are also very nice

It's a wonderful uni with a high quality of teaching and the student's union has so much to offer, from consistent support to a range of great facilities.
