The BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science (audiology) programme has been designed to give registered hearing aid dispensers, currently holding a level 5 qualification, the knowledge, skills and attribute to register as healthcare science practitioners. Currently in UK, 1 in 6 people suffer with hearing problems, such as hearing loss or tinnitus. The top-up programme will ensure hearing aid dispensers will further specialise in working with children, in the rehabilitation of vestibular conditions and tinnitus, and meet the increasing needs of the ageing population.
