The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences has a strong tradition of a multidisciplinary approach to research and student training. Our research is ranked as world leading and the focused interaction of scientists, methodologists and clinicians is key to the success of our ‘bench to bedside approach.
Our staff and students undertake a broad range of clinical, laboratory and educational research across the Keele campus and linked clinical sites across Staffordshire, Shropshire and Oswestry including partnerships with University Hospitals of North Midlands and Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust.
We have a multidisciplinary team of researchers in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences to supervise a PhD Healthcare Research, with backgrounds in: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, radiography/diagnostic imaging, podiatry, prosthetics/orthotics, speech/language therapy, sport exercise physiology medicine pharmacy bioengineering counselling social work paramedic science and nursing. These colleagues can be found in the Facultys Schools of Allied Health Professions and Pharmacy (SAHPP), Medicine, and Nursing/Midwifery.
PhD usually require an Honours degree with a first or 2.1 classifications, or the equivalent if you have been educated outside the UK. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any subtest
