Expand your knowledge and skills to reinforce and promote health, guidance care and well-being of children, young people, and adults in education. Explore inclusive pastoral practices that support students and staff in your workplace. You must work with or have practical experience helping children, young people, and adults within an educational workplace setting or other appropriate agency.
The programme puts health and well-being at the heart of educational leadership and development, offering applied practice and specialist knowledge to extend your skills into health and well-being, guidance, care, and support. You can build your practice and understanding to offer pastoral communication and support to individuals in their professional learning.
We aim to foster your professional development and role to support the needs of children, young people, and adults across different educational settings. You form skills to self-reflect and self-evaluate health and well-being policies to influence positive practices within your workplace.
We deliver an interactive, online learning environment designed by qualified tutors, offering flexibility to fit study into your life and access course materials no matter your location. Our courses explore how educational settings can be trauma-informed and meet the needs of children, young people, and adults. You also gain insights into health and well-being practices within education systems while appreciating varied perspectives shared within our vibrant online community.
Our diverse programme provides excellent preparation to become principal teachers of health and well-being or enter roles in guidance and support, pastoral care, and other management positions within educational settings.
Entry requirements for this programme as with other PGT programmes is an honours degree at 2:2 or above from a recognised university or body. In exceptional circumstances applicants without this qualification may be admitted at the discretion of the Programme Director subject to having an alternative qualification, or an approved level of experience, appropriate to the field of study.
