SkillsGain the skills that matter most to employers.You will develop your English language and academic skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) and gain a basic understanding of using English for academic purposes and a thorough grounding in academic study skills, such as essay structure, exam technique, referencing, journal and library research. You will learn about the history and the contemporary context of health and social care and its relationship with health outcomes and wellbeing for individuals, families and communities. You will be introduced to the professional responsibilities of those working within health and social care and look at the relevant professional frameworks, codes of practice, ethical concepts and legislation and explore the concepts of equality and diversity, and inclusion.
