You will study a wide range of digital and traditional skills and techniques, including design for print, screen-based interactive design, publishing, typography, illustration, packaging and branding, delivered by an experienced graphics team. You will benefit from ample contact time with specialist staff, small studio sizes and industry-standard equipment. Complementing the practical work is a programme of workshops, lectures, visiting speakers, live projects and work-based experience, encouraging you to grow as a designer who can demonstrate the skills and original, critical thinking that employers need. The programme of study has been developed by professionals who have held senior posts at national creative companies and have also worked for high calibre regional employers in the creative sector. It is taught by an experienced teaching team who are all practicing creatives in their own rights, enabling students to receive the relevant knowledge and expertise needed in today’s fast-paced creative industriesThe course offers great potential for those students seeking a practical and cost effective alternative to expensive University courses in Graphic Design.Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the programme specification, the information is liable to change to take advantage of exciting new approaches to teaching and learning as well as developments in industry.
