**Course overview**- Our BA (Hons) Graphic Design course has been running for nearly 50 years and is now one of the most established and successful courses of its kind in the country.- On this course, our emphasis is on creative problem solving while developing your graphic design skills through both print and digital media. As well as getting to grips with traditional graphics disciplines like typography, editorial, branding and packaging, you’ll work with digital platforms including moving image, website and app concepts.- You’ll be taught in a friendly and competitive studio atmosphere, developing your creativity and generating new ideas all the time. Our fantastic facilities include digital print studios, traditional printmaking workshops and wood and metal workshops.- You’ll work on challenging live briefs with real deadlines, and our great links with industry mean that you could get to work on placements with top agencies around the country.**Why study with us**- Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Graphic Design is ranked 6th in the UK with 95% of students satisfied with teaching (National Student Survey 2020)- We have strong links with industry and you’ll benefit from placement opportunities. Founded in 1828, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is the international, multi-campus university leading the way in modern learning. Today the university is one of the UK’s largest, offering an employment-focused course portfolio of over 300 undergraduate programmes and 200+ postgraduate courses.
The university’s main campus is based in Preston, with others located in Burnley (East Lancashire), Westlakes (West Cumbria), and Cyprus. They have recently invested £200m in transforming their Preston Campus, giving students access to excellent teaching facilities in bright, modern surroundings. Their bespoke Engineering Innovation Centre opened in 2019 and their brand new Student Centre and Civic Square will open in 2021.
