Develop a comprehensive understanding of the complex global economic system and its socio-political dynamics. Our globally respected Masters in Global Political Economy will enable you to critically examine the various aspects of power and authority in global capitalism. You will build a valuable knowledge base covering economic and financial dynamics, subjects of global order and state strategies.
Your learning will span from global inequality and tax evasion to financial regulation and financial crises. You will gain analytical skills to critically evaluate the relationships between markets, governments and networks. In this Global Political Economy Masters, we aim to give you an advanced concept of the problems of global capitalism in the 21st century and allow you to examine rapid economic change and its socio-political roots.
Who is this course for?
If you want to explore a wide-angle perspective on global economic and financial relations, this programme is perfect. You will also embrace learning about inter-state competition, mechanisms of global governance and processes of transformation.
You are not required to have any formal economics education as we welcome experience in all academic backgrounds from politics and law to business and media.

You should have a lower second class (2.2) honours degree or the equivalent from an international institution in social sciences, humanities, law, business studies or another related discipline.
However, we will also consider applications from students with a degree in any other subject where applicants have gained significant professional experience in a related field of employment or research.
