These include cultural sociology, film studies, sociolinguistics, language pedagogy, and translation studies.IntroductionOur German research interests focus in-depth on the twentieth century and contemporary period from a broad range of cultural, historical and linguistic perspectives. We typically require a UK masters degree and 2:1 undergraduate degree, in subjects relevant to the proposed field of research, or equivalent academic qualifications from non-UK institutions.
