Newcastle University offers an incredible range of activities and opportunities for students throughout their university career- the chance to get involved with jobs on campus, the range of volunteering opportunities, the chance to study abroad etc. All of the staff are extremely helpful and supportive of these choices. I love Newcastle as a city, and the campus is in a fantastic location. It is easily accessible by both public and personal transport.

My time at Newcastle University has been a mix of highs and lows, but overall an incredibly formative experience. One of the best aspects has been the sense of community on campus—both within my course and through the various societies I joined. From late-night library sessions to social events at the Students’ Union, I’ve really felt part of something bigger, and it’s helped me build lasting friendships. On the other hand, one of the more challenging aspects has been balancing academic workload with part-time work and other commitments. The pressure of deadlines, particularly during exam season, has sometimes been overwhelming. Nevertheless, the support from lecturers and the Academic Skills Kit has made it manageable, and I’ve come out of it much more confident in my ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.

Best is the city is so easy to get around and bounce from uni to home. The worst might just be like other unis to be anxious to contact staff
