Best - lots of green space and different places to individually study. Lots of food choices which are all good and well priced. Lecturers who are involved, passionate and knowledgeable with real life experience in different fields. Very good sports union with great facilities and great social life. Worst - feels slightly biased towards engineering subjects

Campus has a lot of greenery/scenic areas which is good to hang out/walk around between/after classes Good sports and student union which brings together people who share similar passions!

Heriot Watt is a fantastic university. The student support and communication in place is unmatched and I feel well supported and that I have someone to turn to. The only down fall that Heriot Watt has is that it doesn’t have as many study spaces as I’d like but this may be altered in the future.

Regarding the uni as a campus - It is stunning!! I love nature, and a more natural surrounding in general, and the campus is basically built on a forest with plenty of wildlife running around, a small loch, loads of greenspace.. It's just gorgeous to walk around and very relaxing. The facilities - Academic wise; the library, computer and study spaces are all over campus and are, for the most part, excellent. Hard to say at a higher level what facilities are like, though I have had access to the research labs and will get hands on experience next year, and this is awesome!! The facilities - Sport wise; Oriam is a spectacle in itself - Largest indoor football pitch in the entire northern hemisphere, and the rest! I love my sports, and the community at Heriot-Watt is without doubt one of the best in this area. I love every second of being involved with it all. City and student life - Edinburgh city is not far away (30 minutes by bus) and buses run very regularly (every 10-15 minutes). The night life is incredible, the day offers hundreds of opportunities throughout, and there are multiple beach areas to boot; what more can you possibly ask for?! The course - The BSc (Hons) Geography course is actually quite new, and so has a few issues alongside. These are being constantly acted on, and the course is slowly building into something that I think is excellent! The staff are outstanding at listening, and really work with the school officer and/or class reps to provide a better experience for all involved. I'd happily recommend it, despite this.
