The faculty LLMVC is incredibly supportive, and the campus facilities, especially the library, are excellent. There’s a real sense of community here.

Student union is good and so is the food court but the food court is only open 11-3 which isnt great. The library is great spacious and modern

University of Aberdeen, is located at a beautiful place whilst people in it are also beautiful in and out. As a student coming from another end of the world, this place made me feel home. The compassionate nature of professors and the fun and fuzzy sense of students, didn’t make me feel homesick, but the cold Scottish weather got me sick. University of Aberdeen is a great place to study, due to the legacy it holds, and the reputation of the university made me want to study here. The other reason for me to choose UoA is because of Scotland as Robert Burns is my personal favourite poet, learning his legacy and literature at his own place (Scotland) is my dream. The professors at the university, are too kind and supportive they even offer pastoral care, as an international student I find it really helpful about it. The Student services provided are efficient and effective, I tried one of their classes and it was really helpful. I’d like to conclude my experience by saying that, it has been only 3 weeks of starting university but it already feels very good, and I would highly recommend UoA to my family and friends.

Staff are truly fantastic – approachable, passionate, always looking to help students make the most of their time – and it's a joy to study under them. They're also incredibly helpful and understanding when difficulties arise. I do wish there were more indoor spaces available on campus for students to study, socialise, or simply hang out, especially since most of term time is during the colder parts of the year.

They have a brilliant support system and wonderful AUSA members who have put their all into displaying care for the students. The faculty in my department are very understanding and despite striking (rightly so because they are being heavily mistreated), they still want what is best for their students too and have sacrificed a lot. Some facilities need to be modernised, especially the toilets as they feel old and bizarre. The university also need to work on offering better and more affordable vegetarian/vegan food options for their students. Especially considering that Aberdeen is the 7th biggest city for vegan people in the UK. We also need more locations for student interactions on campus. Because our student hub is so small, it means that people sometimes use the library as a social spot and disturb others.
