The uni itself is beautiful and right in the city centre, there is lots to do around Nottingham and it is relatively cheap compared to other areas. Lively food scene and nightlife, and there are lots of parks and other activities in or near the city centre. Support from my tutor and course leaders has been perfect, my one complaint would be the lack of support regarding mental health. My tutor and course leaders have been extremely accommodating and attentive to the needs of disabled or mentally ill students, and counselling is available within the student union, however it is limited to 6 sessions and has a very long waitlist, taking (in my experience) 6 months to get an initial assessment. However, I have made so many friends and received support from both them, and the staff on my course. Would absolutely recommend NTU!

I was first amazed by the vibrant, engaging research community, which powerfully cultivates a sense of motivation for development. Lecturers and researchers are experts in their fields and are very open to sharing their knowledge with me.

The NTU is overall good. As I am a PhD student so the group I work in is very cooperative and my supervisor is also very nice. However, being a PhD student I struggle with not having a personalized work space. Moreover, I have my family with me and I also struggled a lot with finding an accommodation as NTU does not provide accommodation to students with families.

Great sense of community. Beautiful, eco-friendly buildings and campuses. Great staff. Wonderful city, perfect for students. Only downside is Brackenhurst campus can feel quite isolated form rest of university and is often forgotten about in terms of events etc.

Excellent facilities and high standard of subject knowledge from staff. Communication and standardisation of systems will make the student life easier.
