The Post-Compulsory Education and Training course is your gateway to a rewarding career in the sector. Leading to a teaching qualification in post-compulsory education, you'll be equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for the fulfilling role of an educator or lecturer allowing you to make a real difference to the education and development of others.Youll be given the tools to plan, implement and evaluate teaching and learning activities for post-14 education. Youll follow a course of study and research which covers an introduction to post-compulsory education curriculum issues principles of learning and the characteristics of the post-14 learner planning for learning and methods of teaching and assessment.This qualification will open up a wide range of career options in a variety of educational environments including colleges, community learning and development centres, adult education centres, private training organisations, prisons and young offender institutions, voluntary and charity organisations and universities. This course leads to a teaching qualification in the Post-Compulsory Education sector and meets the occupational standards.
