The best aspect of my university experience was definitely the number of opportunities available and how encouraged I felt to actually take them. I was able to study abroad in Copenhagen and complete a placement year, and both experiences have added so much to my CV, my confidence and what I can now bring into my career. What stood out to me was that the opportunities were not just advertised to students; I genuinely felt supported to go after them. Even financially, when I was struggling and applied for additional funding, the university supported me, which made a real difference at the time. I was actually worried at the beginning about whether choosing Westminster was the right decision, but looking back, I am genuinely so glad I did. The main downside for me was the library during busy periods. It could become extremely packed, and because the main library area allows talking, occasionally people would be quite disruptive or use it more as a social space. This is obviously more about individual behaviour than the university itself, but having more dedicated quiet study areas or additional study spaces during peak periods would make the experience even better.

From my experience, the University of Westminster offers strong opportunities that go beyond classroom learning. I was able to complete a semester abroad, which helped me develop independence, adaptability, and a better understanding of international business in practice. I also completed a placement year, which gave me valuable work experience and helped me apply what I had learned on my course to a real organisational setting. These opportunities have been important in building my confidence and shaping my career direction. Being based in London has also supported these experiences, as it has made it easier to access internships, part-time work, and professional networks alongside my studies. The combination of academic learning and practical opportunities has been one of the strongest aspects of my time at Westminster. That said, some improvements could be made. Clearer guidance and communication around these opportunities earlier in the course would help students plan better, particularly around placements and studying abroad. More consistent academic feedback would also improve the overall student experience.

I think the university is very clean, tidy and organised. The campuses are very different considering the subjects which is very interesting and very beautiful.

I appreciate the location of campus as its very easy to access/commute to via the underground. I feel as though that the quality of the facilities make studying at campus very comfortable. I feel as though specifics with assignment briefs and instructions are confusing and the student centre sometimes can be a bit unhelpful, usually sending you to someone/where else. But other than these minor inconveniences, the campus is a great place to study.

I really love the diversity in both students and faculty, classrooms are always clean and neat and we get access to good infrastructure within the university. I would say the only bad thing I would point out is how difficult it can be to navigate around the campuses, I would wish that the uni intranet would have some sort of map for each campus that tells where each room is or where you can find the library etc... I believe it would be especially helpful for 1st year students who are still learning the campus layout and don't know where their classroom is.
