During this course you will examine range of activities that make up the spa industry, gaining practical experience alongside the essential business skills you need to manage a Spa or start your own business. You will develop your management skills and learn how to apply Financial, Marketing and Human Resource Management theory to the Spa environment. Providing you with a high-level view of the international Spa industry.
We work with local employers will give you practice, confidence and expertise in developing communications and management skills, complex booking, retail and stock management, Marketing, HR and financial aspects of running a successful Spa. Experience of working with fee paying guests, solving day to day operational problems gives you a deep understanding of business, develops your entrepreneurial and business skills and offers you every opportunity of gaining employment on your graduation. Alongside attending College regularly for classes, you will work closely with a number of Spa companies and major Spa employers in the UK and also complete a formal work placement. You will experience innovative presentations and workshops from leading product companies and training in a variety of commercial spa treatments and techniques that employers expect.
Once you have successfully completed your FdA, you can then choose to complete a top-up year at a university to achieve a full Bachelor’s degree. You can also pursue an Apprenticeship or enter employment.
32 UCAS points or a Level 3 qualification in a related subject. Other qualifications and experience will be taken into consideration. Adult learners without the relevant qualifications may apply for Accredited Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).
