This course draws on Kingston Universitys established expertise in psychology and criminology.You will study the application of psychology in various forensic settings and be introduced to the role of the forensic psychologist. This course draws on Kingston University's established expertise in psychology and criminology.You will study the application of psychology in various forensic settings and be introduced to the role of the forensic psychologist. You will examine the legal aspects of forensic psychology (e.g. courts and sentencing) and factors that may lead to criminal behaviour.This course also provides you with the opportunity for a crucial observational work placement. Possible settings include both statutory and third sector contexts, such as secure psychiatric hospitals, children's homes and youth offending teams.You will additionally benefit from supervision from our research active staff members for your dissertation.
