The BSc (Hons) Football Science with Professional Practice Year degree are for those who have an interest in player and team development. This programme will advance your theoretical and practical knowledge of the scientific disciplines (physiology, psychology, biomechanics and performance analysis) were you will learn how to analyse, monitor and evaluate football performance. The programme will challenge students intellectually, with outstanding academic education and applied practice through real life projects that will enhance student experience. To support this fast growing industry, you will gain an array of industry recognised qualifications that are embedded into the modular structure. Students will be given the opportunity to develop specific areas of expertise within a multi-disciplinary programme, for an industry that requires specialist professionals. The university links to key industry partners, will give you the necessary skills, experience and networking opportunities to support future employment. Professional Practice YearThis course offers students an opportunity to enhance their employability by equipping them with in depth industry knowledge and a higher skill set, during an extended year of professional practice. The first two years provide the theoretical and practical underpinning required to develop your knowledge and understanding in readiness for your professional practice year with an external organisation. This will give you a greater opportunity to apply the scientific skills in a working environment.On completion of your profession practice , you will return to university to complete the final year of the degree.
