The aim of this Economics and Finance course is to provide the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills required to succeed in your desired degree at Brunel University London. The aim of this module is to give students an understanding of the roles and functions of financial markets and an awareness of the financial system, in order to provide a necessary basis for further study.

This module aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles and concepts relating to financial accounting and technical proficiency in the use of double entry accounting techniques including the preparation of basic financial statements.
This module provides students with a firm foundation in the principles of macroeconomics at the theoretical level, which will provide the basis for further core modules at Year 2 and Year 3. It aims to demonstrate the application of theory to current issues in macroeconomics.
