In terms, of extra curricular activities I think Queens has a lot to offer. For example, they have a massive list of clubs and societies which tailors to people with all sorts of hobbies and interests. I myself love the brazilian jiu jisu club which was very welcome and has a great student participation and atmosphere. This brings me onto another plus the Gym pec which is discounted to students is right beside campus which is extremely handy if you have time between classes you could call in and do a workout for an hour. One thing I would say is a downside is if you are living at home and want to drive in then you may find it difficult to park near campus. Therefore it would be great if there was a designated student parking but I know that would be difficult to put in place with the campus being so central in belfast. But there are public transport routes which are close to the University such as buses and trains so I cannot complain too much. I would also say that Belfast and Queens is a great place to meet new friends. In general here students are really friendly and through attending lectures and socials you will be able to make new friends pretty easily. The night life is also quite good with there being lots of pubs located within the centre of Belfast and a great students union which runs a range of themed nights such as quizes and bingo ect. Another plus for queens is that they offer a lot of competitions and incentives to participate in different uni run activities. These are often financial prizes aswell as worthwhile opportunities. For example, the business school offer the chance to go to the Utercht School in the Netherlands if you complete the future ready award another employabilty enhancer offered.

I live in the student accommodation which is close to the campus which makes it easier and better for me. I think its also very easy to find your way around because there is so many signs to point you in the right direction. The worst thing for me would be the connection quality to the WiFi as it is always disconnecting.

Best- made lots of friends and really enjoy the course I study. WORST- no parking facilities making it difficult to get to classes on time

The student union is very comfortable, while it can get busy during the day, they have made ongoing steps to increase seating capacity. It has a great atmosphere for studying, socialising, or relaxing and there's always an event going on that you can get involved, encouraging a sense of community by bringing different people together to chat you never would've talked to otherwise. The Pantry is a fantastic facility made to combat the cost of living crisis for students, it is a store where students can show up with containers and fill them with basic food essentials such as rice, pasta, flour, spices and more, for free. This has been a huge help as it allows us to make hearty proper meals affordably. The McClay Library is excellent, it's open 24/7 with printing and computing facilities, and free wifi. Catering to everyone's schedules allowing for flexibility. They also have rooms that can be booked of various sizes perfect for individual study or group work. Computer sytems can be unreliable within the library however, especially within the bookable study rooms affecting group work the most as you never know if the room you've booked will work and let you practise a presentation or not. It would be great if more effort could be spent ensuring the computer to tv display link and other features are functioning in every study room on a routine basis, at least weekly.

Very high quality if education with amazing staff. As well the university provides a multitude of opportunities outside of your core studies. An example would be the careers service and the plethora of societies. A way the University could improve would be to allow for more recordings of lectures to be made avaliable.

Its in a very nice city where there's lots to do. lots of things to get involved with. good initiatives such as the swap shop, however gym as well as clubs and socities are lacking. I feel like there's not that much funding for equipment. the PEC isn't very large considering how many students there ae and some the the equipment feels outdated or like their isn't enough of it.
