University of Reading

The University of Reading embraces diversity and inclusion, facilitating the thriving of international students in their academic and social pursuits. However, there is room for improvement by enhancing services from various support groups, such as student unions, to foster the sharing of cultural awareness.

University of Reading is a wonderful place to be in. It offers students an esteemed education with the best of academic lecturers and high quality course material and a wealth of experience on campus life helping mould students with the required technical skills that are attractive to employers. The higher education received at UoR opens up a world of opportunities for students to reach ambitious goals in their careers but also provides globally well recognised qualifications and enables them to be the change they perceive in various disciplines. The multi-cultural inclusive environment helps students settle faster to life at university whether they are from the UK or International students and provides opportunity to learn and grow respecting diversity. It also helps networking and builds strong links professionally through a vibrant alumni. Therefore I am grateful to be part the UoR . In my view, the university experience could be improved by increasing practical participation in field/industry visits. This I believe would provide a more hands on learning experience. However, I do understand the modules cover a wide spectrum and time remains the key constraint for any additional learning opportunities. Thank you UoR. I am delighted to be part of you and forever will be!

I really like Reading and if you come here you will too. It's a very pretty university with a beautiful campus. My advice for people coming here is to use the Open Days. They are a fantastic way of learning about the campus and the course you may be interested in.

Uni at Reading has been a great laugh but there is too much work so make sure you go out every night in Freshers because you can't do it as much in second and third year. My advice to anyone coming to Reading is don't live on Donnington Road or the burglars will get you.

I recommend that you join a sports society as you get to meet loads of people and generally have fun. Wear smart shoes to the Union otherwise you might not get in and bring a spare liver. That or party responsibility but make sure you party in between the work!
